Is your midsized office looking for a machine that can copy, scan, fax and print in black-and-white? If so, you might want to look at the Konica Minolta bizhub 20. With speeds of 32 pages per minute and a monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages, it will certainly fit most medium sized offices well. A laser printer, it only uses one toner cartridge that is affordable, easy to use and easy to replace. Connection is offered via USB, parallel or ethernet port, and a memory of 64 MB come standard.

The copier portion of the bizhub 20 has a 30-page automatic document feeder, or ADF, and the ability to produce up to 99 copies from an original document. It offers duplex printing features and an LCD screen to make copying even more convenient and easy to do. It can copy its first page out in as little as 10.5 seconds or less, while the warm-up time is 18 seconds.

Its print functions are fast too, and its first page out time is 8.5 seconds or less. Resolutions as high as 1200×1200 dpi are possible. The machine also has many features like collate, toner save mode, binding offset and scaling. Its scanning functions include color capabilities, and documents as large as 8.5×14 inches can be scanned. For color scans, only 8 pages per minute can be created, but for black-and-white copies, up to 20 pages per minute.

Making this machine a true all in one, fax capabilities are offered. The transmission speed is very quick at 33.6 Kbps. Contrast control, like automatic, light and dark manual settings, is also offered, as well as 40-one touch dials and up to 300 speed dials. Automatic redial is also featured as well.

Windows and Mac operating systems are the only ones compatible, which could be a little limiting; however, if you use one of those platforms the bizhub 20 is a great option.

The Konica Minolta pagepro 1380MF is a monochrome laser all in one. Though this machine can print, scan and copy, faxing capabilities are obsolete, so if you need all of these features, you may want to look elsewhere. With the ability to create up to 15,000 pages each month, this multi-functioning unit will work best in a small office or home with large printing needs. The frame of the 1380 is compact, at only 19.4×18.3×14.5 inches, and its weight of 27.1 pounds shouldn’t be too hard to lift. It also comes with a standard memory of 32 MB.

The printing function works quite fast at 21 pages per minute, and using the Konica Minolta 1380 toner, resolutions as high as 600×600 dpi. The copier hits the same resolutions, but doesn’t maintain the same speeds—when copying only 20 pages per minute are possible. Reductions and enlargements from 25% to 400% are possible, and up to 99 copies can be made from each original document. The scanner an reach resolutions of 1200×1200 dpi with a color depth of 24 bits.

Transparencies, plain paper, cards, envelopes, labels and recycled paper are all supported by this all in one, and USB connection is the only type offered. When it comes to operating systems, Windows is the only one supported, so if you use another system, you will need to look elsewhere.

Reviews of the Konica Minolta pagepro 1380MF are, for the most part, very positive. Users love how easy to use the machine is, and setup couldn’t have been any simpler, according to consumers. What consumers like most about the 1380, though, has to be its very low operating cost using the pagepro 1380 toner cartridges. Their inexpensive price is applauded over and over again. The major downside when it comes to this unit tends to be its lack of coloring capabilities due to the fact it is a monochrome unit.

The Konica Minolta bizhub 423 is a monochrome laser printer built for large offices. With 2048 MB of memory, it will store a lot of data, and it can scan, copy, fax and print at decent speeds with average resolutions. Because this only prints black-and-white images, this machine is probably best used for text printing, although simple graphics will print just fine too. It comes with a duplexing feature, but an automatic document feeder is not included. It connects via ethernet hookup.

<br><br>The printing portion of the printer uses one Konica Minolta 423 toner cartridge. Up to 42 pages can be printed per minute, which is quite impressive for a model like this. Resolutions of 1800×600 dpi are possible, which will leave documents looking professional.

<br><br>The copier has the ability to create up to 42 copies per minute using the bizhub 423 toner. Reductions and enlargements from 25%-400% are available, and up to 9,999 copies can be made from an original document. The scanner is a full-color scanner, and it can output TIFF, JPEG and PDF files. It can scan then print up to 70 copies per minute. The highest resolution possible though is 600 dpi.

<br><br>It also had faxing capabilities—it can send or receive them. It has a modem speed of 33.6 Kbps, and it can scan or receive documents as large as A3. It only takes about 3 seconds for each fax to be sent and received. It can hold about 2,000 numbers and 100 speed dials.

<br><br>It has the ability to print on most standard media types like plain paper, glossy paper, labels, cards and transparencies, and many sizes of each are supported too. For the most part, this machine is rated highly. Consumers and experts agree that the Konica Minolta bizhub 423 is a solid addition to any large office.

Need a fast, reliable laser printer for your small to large sized business? Take a look at the Konica Minolta pagepro 5650EN. With a robust monthly duty cycle of 200,000 pages, this all in one won’t leave you scrabbling for more. Windows, Mac and Linux are all compatible with this pagepro, meaning that no matter the operating system of your company, this unit will adapt. It connects via ethernet, USB or parallel connection, and it has networking capabilities too. The only downside is its lack of color printing—this unit uses only black pagepro 5650EN toner.

Many inkjet printers aren’t as versatile as the 5650EN. It can print directly from many flash cards, and most paper sizes are supported—legal, letter, executive and folio are just a few of many that work perfectly with this device. Even banners can be printed. Many media types are supported as well, like plain paper, recycled paper, envelopes and postcards, and double sided printing comes standard. JPEG, TIFF and PDF files all have direct printing as well.

Only one Konica Minolta 5650EN toner cartridge is needed for printing with this unit. Each tank of printer toner lasts a surprising 6,000 prints, but the price tag on each of these toners is somewhat pricey. High capacity versions of the pagepro 5650EN toner cartridges are available as well, which means time in-between replacements will be a little more spread out.

Probably the most admired feature is the quick print speed of 45 pages per minute when using the black Konica Minolta 5650EN toner. Fast-paced environments will flourish with these speeds, and the 5650EN won’t slow you down. It prints with professional quality using Konica Minolta 5650EN toner with a resolution of up to 1200×1200 dpi. This will provide exceptional results and crisp text and graphic documents. Set up is easy with the 5650EN and use is even easier. When it comes to a sophisticated unit, the pagepro 5650EN rises above the rest of the competition.

While many manufacturers cater to small office users with compact printers, Konica Minolta tends to focus on high-volume machines that can handle a large number of users. The Konica Minolta bizhub C200 is no exception. It is a color laser printer that has the fast speeds that a busy office needs along with the multifunction features that allow it to replace multiple pieces of equipment with one efficient and easy-to-maintain machine.

The Minolta C200 can print, scan, copy and fax. It is more compact than many of Konica’s high-volume machines, and it starts out a bit smaller on capacity, at only 250 sheets in its single tray. It offers a wide range of upgrade options, however, so buyers can tailor it to their specific needs. Memory can be expanded from the initial 576 MB to a maximum of 1,088 MB. Ethernet networking support is a standard feature. Printing resolution is 600 dpi for sharp print quality.

The scanning function is particularly well-designed, and gives users many options for destinations. Users can send scans to email, FTP or a location on the network. All of these options are easily accessed from the control panel for added convenience. Copying supports up to 999 copies at a time and reduction and enlargement from 25% to 400% in .1% increments.

Minolta C200 toner cartridges are very affordable. The large capacity of bizhub C200 toner cartridges also gives users a very low cost per page. Users can keep costs even lower by using third-party compatible Konica C200 toner instead of the more expensive OEM versions.

Its price is not cheap, but buyers who need an expandable printer that can support a high-volume office environment will likely find the Konica Minolta bizhub C200 to be an excellent value. The low cost of bizhub C200 toner will save money, and replacing multiple machines is a more efficient use of space and resources.

The Konica Minolta Magicolor 1690MF is a color laser printer with multifunction capabilities, designed for the home or small office user. Its multifunction capabilities include printing, scanning, faxing, and copying. The 1690MF offers a wide array of features for a great price, and upgrade options allow it to grow along with your needs.

Multifunction devices are designed to simplify an office environment, replacing multiple devices with one machine. The 1690MF accomplishes this task admirably, replacing the need for a printer, copier, scanner, and fax machine in one fell swoop. Its compact size and relatively light weight (46 pounds) reduce the bulk in an office even more.

The 1690MF has some nice bonus features included that one might not expect. First, network scanning and faxing is supported. This allows users to scan from the unit to their networked computer, or to fax directly from their computer. Faxes can also be sent to a computer on the network. Also, a USB port is included on the front of the unit, for connecting USB flash drives. It is possible to scan directly to a USB flash drive, but unfortunately it is not possible to print from the drive. This is one glaring omission, as many competing units support both features.

Setup is fairly simple and straightforward: remove packing materials, plug in all cords, and load paper. Network setup, however, may pose some difficulties. The unit sometimes has a difficult time incorporating itself into a network. The user manual or tech support are usually able to straighten out any issues you encounter, but many competing products do not exhibit these networking problems.

Print quality is excellent, with well-formed text and decent graphics quality. Print speed is relatively fast, at 20 pages per minute black and 5 pages per minute in color. These speeds are slow compared to dedicated laser printers, but on par with most multifunction lasers.

Overall, the Konica Minolta 1690MF is a very capable multifunction printer with some nice features and a few problems. Print speed and quality are both good, but setup problems may cause more headaches than necessary.

The Konica Minolta magicolor 1600W is a color laser printer designed for the personal or small office user who needs color laser printing on a small budget.

The 1600W is an extremely compact printer. Measuring 10.9 by 15.6 by 15 inches (HWD), it has a smaller footprint than many inkjet printers. Given that this printer’s target buyer is one who wants to upgrade from an inkjet to a small color laser, this will be a major selling point. The 1600W should be able to fit comfortably into any space previously occupied by an inkjet printer.

Setup is very easy. Take the printer out of the box, load paper, connect all cords, and run the installation CD. Because the 1600W is designed as a personal printer, its only connection is a USB port, though it could still be shared on a network, either with a host PC or a print server.

Print speeds are quite good for the price, at 20 pages per minute for monochrome, and 5 pages per minute in color. These speeds should be more than adequate for the majority of personal users. Paper handling is also a little better than one would expect from a personal laser printer. The printer has an input paper capacity of 200 sheets, allowing for a lot of printing before the need to replenish paper.

Print quality is quite good, especially considering the price. Text is sharp and well-defined, graphics quality is good, and photo quality is adequate. Most laser printers have problems accurately printing photos, so the 1600W is neither better or worse than average on this point.

Overall, the Konica Minolta magicolor 1600W is an impressive printer that provides great value for its low price. Personal users who want their own color laser printer for desktop use will find the 1600W to be an excellent choice.

The Konica Minolta 7830 color LED printer is equipped with fast processors and a wealth of software utilities; the 7830 printer is rated as a mid range priced printer.

These printers utilize the LED printing technology which will deliver laser printer speeds for less money. The Konica Minolta 7830n has a 450 MHz processor and the 7830dxn is equipped with a 600 MHz processor, a bit faster than some similar priced models. Memory differs slightly on the models at 128 MB, for the 7830n and 320 MB for the 7830dxn; a maximum of 1 GB is allowed on both units. Supported operating systems are Mac and Windows which is pretty standard, but some LED printers offer Linux and IBM compatibility. All models have parallel and USB ports while the higher end models have a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet connection for networking. A 10 GB hard disk and auto duplexer are standard on the 7830dxn models, optional on all others, and the maximum paper input is 1690 sheets, slightly higher than the in class printer average. An advanced power save mode enables lower energy consumption and is average for this type of printer.

Print in full color at 30 pages per minute while black and white documents print at 37 pages per minute. Tabloid sized media is accepted and prints slightly slower at 16 pages per minute in color, 20 for monochrome. Automatic color enhancements aid in the representation of color documents by calibrating for small variances in images and environmental conditions. Monitor all of your print jobs via the desktop and account for real time printer status as well as statistics. This program will also recognize other printers on the network and send alerts from those devices. Cost per printed page is fairly average at $.12 per page and $.03 per black and white. Finishing options include staplers and stackers as well as auto document feeders.

The Konica Minolta 7830 color LED printer is average in its features and pricing, but to fully access the potential additional paper trays and finishers will need to be added.

The Konica Minolta magicolor 5450, a single pass laser printer, could easily be found in use in a home office or a small work group; the magicolor 5450 is mid priced around $1200.00 which is in line with its features and specifications.

The magicolor 5450 is equipped with a 667 MHz processor and 256 MB of RAM expandable to 1 GB and comes standard with Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet, depending on the model, connections for networking as well as USB and parallel ports. More suitable to the small work group with a small 600 sheet installed media ability which can and should be upgraded to the full 1,600 sheets via additional paper trays. The magicolor 5450 will accept a wealth of media sizes for its class such as Letter Plus, Japanese Chou No 4 envelopes, and JIS B5 as well as the standards. Konica Minolta has enabled the use of this printer on systems including Windows, Mac, Linux and Novell. Unfortunately duplex printing is not standard on the 5450 but can be added.

The magicolor 5450 is better acclimated to a small or medium sized work group with a monthly duty cycle of 60,000 pages although the medium sized work group that has heavy printing demands may need a bit more. Generally speaking, the color output is good with a few random faded areas when text is printed in color, but the photo printing is exceptional which is uncommon for this price range and costs less than 10 cents per page. Black and white text, costing 1.3 cents per page, is presented in fair fashion due to its inability to print stylized fonts smaller than 12 point. Black and white documents print at speeds close to 27 pages per minute in the lowest resolution while color is just slightly slower; these speeds are lower than its competitors in class.

The Konica Minolta magicolor 5450 produces great photo prints, has a fast processor but lacks in providing quality text documents at small font sizes; however, considering its price the printer could be a steal for the right environment.
