The HP Photosmart D5468 is an inkjet printer designed for the home or small office environment.  It offers fast print speeds up to 33 pages per minute black and 31 pages per minute color.  It also has a versatile feature set that will appeal to business-centric buyers.  HP D5468 ink cartridges are very affordable, making it an economical choice.

The machine’s input paper capacity is a little limited in comparison to competing models, at only 125 sheets.  It is a relatively compact device, managing to fit a lot of features into a machine with a very small footprint.  Print quality is sharp, due to its 600 dpi printing engine.  First page out time is on the slow side, at around 18 seconds for color.  This means a little more waiting for the first page to begin printing, which may slow some busy users down.

Experienced buyers know that the cost of printer ink is the largest expense for any printer, but PhotoSmart D5468 ink is very affordably-priced, making it easy on the wallet.  Furthermore, the large capacity of HP D5468 ink cartridges helps keep the cost per page very low, especially for an inkjet printer.

In their review of the HP D5468, PC World praised its low running costs and compact size.  They also liked its sleek design and excellent features.  They found its upfront price to be a little steep, however, and wished for multifunction features to be included.  They found its photo printing quality to be excellent.

Overall, the HP PhotoSmart D5468 is a very capable printer with excellent photo quality and very fast printing speeds.  Home and small office users should definitely give it a look.  It upfront cost is high, but the affordable price of printer ink makes it a good choice for saving money in the long run.
